No. The template editor runs entirely in your browser – on any device with a modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). You need no Word, no InDesign and no other software. Just log in and create your letter online.

There are 12 professional templates in 7 categories: business letters (3 variants), invoices (standard and small business), reminders (payment reminder and second reminder), quotes (standard and service), cover letter, employment reference and termination letter. The templates are in German and can be adapted right away.

Yes. You can upload images by drag & drop or file selection. Images can be edited with filters (brightness, contrast, greyscale, blur), cropped and given clip shapes (circle, star, heart). Ideal for company logos, product images or signatures.

For machine-processed letters Deutsche Post defines fixed zones on the A4 sheet: sender field, recipient field and franking zone. The editor shows these zones as an overlay and warns you if elements reach into protected areas – so your letter can be delivered without problems.

Yes. Your templates are stored securely in your account. In addition, auto-save backs up your progress locally in the browser every 30 seconds – nothing is lost even with connection problems. You can duplicate, rename or delete templates at any time.

Yes. The editor supports greeting elements with placeholders such as {firstName}, {lastName}, {salutation}, {title} and {company}. In a mail merge these are replaced automatically with the actual recipient data.

The letter is exported as a print-ready PDF in 300 DPI – the standard resolution for professional printing. The maximum file size is 19.5 MB. Alternatively, you can send the letter directly via Deutsche Post without downloading it first.

Yes. The editor supports common shortcuts: Ctrl+Z/Y for undo/redo, Ctrl+C/V for copy/paste, Ctrl+D to duplicate, Delete to remove and Ctrl+mouse wheel to zoom. You find an overview of all shortcuts in the editor’s help menu.
