Two ways

Which way suits your mail merge

What matters is whether every recipient gets the same text or whether each letter has its own details.

Template plus CSV address list

Same text for all recipients

You have one letter and a table of recipients, for example from Excel or your customer or membership software.

  • Upload the template as a PDF or design it in the letter editor
  • The system maps the CSV columns via the header row
  • Personal salutation via placeholders in editor templates

Finished mail merge as a PDF

Individual content in every letter

Every letter already has its address and its own details, for example from Word mail merge or your invoicing software.

  • All letters in one file, each with the same number of pages
  • The address is read from the window area and checked
  • Correct or skip individual letters before starting

For both ways

What always stays the same

We take care of printing, envelopes, franking and handing in at Deutsche Post either way.

Address check before printing

Incomplete addresses show up before you start: as invalid rows in the CSV import, in the check table for a PDF.

Set options once

Print colour, single- or double-sided printing, registered mail and sender profile apply to every letter in the series. Registered mail is only available within Germany.

Cut-off 4 pm

Whatever arrives on a working day before 4 pm (German time), we hand over to Deutsche Post the same day.

Costs

What a mail merge costs

Colour, double-sided printing and registered mail cost more coins. The cost preview shows the total for all letters before you start; failed and skipped letters are not charged. With the PDF route each part of the PDF counts as a separate letter, and a cover page counts towards the page count.

For advertising mail from 5,000 items per campaign there is the cheaper advertising rate Dialogpost.
